Outstanding Early Years
The Outstanding Early Years series designed to support early educators in developing exceptional provision, thus providing the best possible learning experience for babies and young children.Book 1 focuses on the quality of teaching, learning and assessment, while Book 2 looks at personal development, behaviour and welfare and Book 3 effective leadership and management. It helps early years educators fulfil the expectations of good practice and shows how to: evaluate and assess the standard of the environment; and, provide evidence of quality provision.

About the Authors
Jenny Barber is an independent early years trainer and consultant. She delivers training in early years settings and schools across the UK. Through her consultancy, she works with settings to raise standards and develop quality.
Sharon Paul-Smith has worked in the early years for over 20 years, firstly as a leader of a pre-school and as a trainer of practitioners to level 2 and beyond. She now works as a consultant, advising on best practice and supporting practitioners and nursery managers in achieving high quality daily provision.
